I've Arrived

Hi Everyone,

I'm safe, I'm happy and I am with a wonderful young family.  Noe (the man of the house...pronounced with (a long A sound for the E) works from home, so today he helped me connect to his WiFi.  Rosario is the mommy and they have two little girls, Emilia, 6, and Fatima 6 months. I have my own room and bathroom on the third level of their home.  The level below me is a courtyard and I have a nice view of the beautiful mountainous city.  They also have a very large and out of control 6-month old puppy named Mancha, who will probably be my greatest danger on this trip.  He listens to nothing I say in either English or Spanish. He  is very fond of me, always sitting outside my door waiting for me and will probably be the death of me.

So much has happened in just two days,  I could never begin to write it all down.   Nothing is what I imagined and it's wonderful.  This morning I woke up early, ate breakfast with my family and wandered around the beautiful colonial city on my own.  I went to mass in an old cathedral and got lost on the way home.  I was smart enough to write down the address and after asking serveral people, finally made my way back.  The streets are very narrow cobblestone and the facades of the homes look much the same, but I'm sure I get it all figured out soon.  Those of you who know me well, know that I am directionally challenged, so this will be good for me.  After my siesta we drove to Rosario's mother's house, where we had our main meal.  All and all a very nice day.  Tomarrow is my first day at school.  Originally, I was told it would be closed for the holiday, but I guess not.  You really have to go with the flow here.  I expected that and it's a good thing, because that really is the way it is.  It is very likely, I'll get to the school in the morning and it will be closed.  No problemo!  Bye for now. My love to all.  Judy
